Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to us. You can be both Client and Freelancer using the same account or you can request one of them to be closed. After finishing your Client's profile, please follow these steps to create a Freelancer's profile:

  1. Go to Settings  My Info.
  2. Click the Create New Account link at the bottom
  3. Select New Freelancer Account
  4. Once set up, use the account menu at the top-right of your screen to switch between using Upwork as a client, freelancer, or agency

For more information, please check out this help article. Feel free to follow up if you have further questions.

Thank you.

Hi! Which account a freelancer belongs?

A client or agency account?

Additionally, how to know what account did I created? I ask this because under the contracts tab there appears a statement like this, "This page is available only to freelancers. Switch context via company selector and visit the page again." Please see attached.

Hi Katherine,

You only have a Freelancer profile at this time. I see you are seeing this on the Upwork mobile app; could you try reinstalling the app to see if the problem persists? Note that you haven't completed any contracts yet, so you won't find any on that page when you visit it.
