Client is not closing the contract - URGENT

Hi, 

 

I saw some posts with similar titles but my case is a little bit different.

 

So, I have a UW client and she gave me a small task, I completed it, handed it over to her, and was done. She didn't close the contract even after days, she made the milestone payment. Upon follow-ups, if she needed a revision or otherwise close the contract, she told wants to give me some more work and she did so, small more tasks with a "bonus" she promised.

 

My question:

 

1. Is this a right practice? Some people in other's posts of similar cases said she might be avoiding a $10 fee for every new contract that is new to me.

2. Does this affect my profile rankings/health in any way?

3. Is it possible she would claim a refund at any point, leaving me empty-handed?

4. Some freelancers in forums of such situations said they have a lot of open contracts and the client didn't reply despite follow-ups, and neither closed the contract so leave it as is, this is new to me again... is that correct?

 

Please guide me through this situation and safety actions.
