Hi, I just received a job invitation and the client is asking for my portfolio and sample of previous work so I sent a link to my website portfolio. However, I got a message that says "Upwork has detected a potential risk with the content of this message."

Is it prohibited to send external links to our portfolio website?

Please know that it is against Upwork's Terms of Service to share contact information before a contract starts. Freelancers might include contact information directly in their portfolios. It's still okay to share, just remember to keep all pre-contract communications on Upwork. You can learn more here.
