Looking Forward to Work with my Future Client

Hi Everyone,

I am glad to belong here.

I have submitted different proposals to different clients. I am patiently hoping to get my first job.

My areas of specialisation are Accounting, Human Resources, Data Analysis, and Customer Relations.

Ngozi,

I always advise freelancers to make sure their profiles are 100% complete before submitting proposals. Upon receiving a proposal and deciding to review your proposal, clients almost always view your profile to better understand your skills and experience.

I think clients will expect more details from an accounting professional. Much of your work requires access to financial data and records, so clients might want to understand your management process. For example:

  • Instead of telling clients what you're passionate about--tell them what you can do: "I can help you with account payables and receivables, budget analyses, financial reporting, payroll accounting and administrations."

  • Tell clients how and when you will communicate with them to ensure your services are meeting their needs.

  • Talk about how you can uphold ethical standards, protect sensitive financial data and information, resolve discrepancies, and advise on compliance issues.

  • Which software applications and tools do you use (i.e., QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel, etc.)? Mention your proficiency with these or other relevant tools since many clients have existing tools and need to know your familiarity with them.

  • Highlight any accounting projects you have worked on and your accomplishments.

  • Talk about your ability to meet business challenges and adapt to changing or new requirements if necessary.

The reason I suggest adding this level of detail to your summary is because it can help you stand out. Clients are looking for reasons to choose you and the information you provide can help them better understand why they should hire you and how it will benefit them.

I also suggest adding a portfolio to show samples of previous work or to demonstrate your skills. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients, and it will enhance your profile.
