The conversion fee is wrongly calculated!!!!

Hello Upwork Team,

We have worked with a freelancer for one year on Upwork and want to move outside Upwork to hire him full time.
Now there is an issue.

We have worked with this freelancer at rate $7/hr and then he decreased it to $4/hr to do some documentation tasks and we increased it again to $7/hr but instead of increasing it to $7/hr, we increased it to $8/hr but we requested from the freelancer to decrease it to $7/hr and he did. No work at all is recorded with this mistakenly set $8/hr and now when we go to pay the conversion fee, we see it is calculated based on the $8/hr which we didn't work with at all and was set by mistake. Please we need your co-operation with this issue asap!

Rather than paying the conversion fee Wouldn't it be cheaper for you to work with him for another year?
