Sigh....another scam

I'm feeling very disheartened right now on Upwork. Almost every job I answer is a scam. If it is actually a real job they don't even seriously consider me. What is the trick to getting work when you are new to freelancing? I'm a **bleep** good writer! I need someone to give me the chance to prove it.
