Losing money on my worked time because of time tracker

I have encountered issues with the tracker as well and I have found one thing that helps. Make sure you are active as the tracker does not track idle time. I have found if I take a screenshot just before I stop the tracker it generally fixes this problem when I am done and logging out. You have an option to take a screenshot so try it. The other speak to your client. Both mine are fine with me adding manual time when this has happened.
I had it happen again this week for some weird reason I was missing 10 minutes of my time at beginning of a 2 hour block and 10 minutes on the end (I forgot to take the screenshot at end) Not sure why it was missing 10 minutes off beginning as I log in always at the same time every day. But you just need to watch your time and speak with your client right away when it happens.

I had no idea that was required. I assumed it tracked the time regardless of screenshots up to the minute you click the stop button. Better to learn this now than never. Thanks.
Incidentally, it isn't only the freelancer losing money on this, oDesk is also, since they won't get their 10% for minutes lost this way. This is one 'iimprovement' that would be a clear benefit.

The bad thing is that I have a job that I don't have to be at my computer every minit of my work. For example, during my work i have to wait an 20 minutes file upload. In this time I must wait and maybe I want to do something else.... I saw that the time tracker doesn't register that time and I'm during working hours!

Who attacked who ?!?! Where's that instant replay button when it's needed...lol....
The oDesk Team App, albeit not the best, is fine the way it is. This thread identifies some of the oddities surrounding the use of the Team App, and with that knowledge freelancers can choose to end a session at anytime or wait until right after the last screenshot to get credit for that last full ten minute session.
There are some sites like oDesk where the "oddities" surrounding trackers on those other sites are far more problematic for freelancers.
