Profile Boost, Proposal Boost, Project Boost.
Boosting everything is not getting the expected results.
What to do about this and why is this happening?
What can be done to solve this and how can I get more projects?
I am seeking advice from senior and experienced brothers.

If you are not making more money with boosting, it makes no sense to do it, and that includes the profile, availability and all the other stuff you can throw connects towards.
Boosting is best used when you know for certain, you exceed every requirement, have experience and the hard skills for the job, and know that you are one of the top three people, and you want the job, then, and only then should you boost. Yes, I know Upwork tells you the opposite, and everywhere you turn is another ad insisting you will get more interviews/jobs/invitations/ show up in search, etc.
The best way to attract clients and deter scammers is still having an excellent profile, and even better proposals. Freelancers find work without boosting. If you want to boost, use it wisely.

I have found boosting to be a total waste of money. After wasting thousands of dollars, I have stopped doing it and I encourage everyone else to stop as well.

I think so too. So how do we get the project?

By having a complete, professional profile, heavy vetting of both the client and job, and selectively applying and/or boosting. Create stellar proposals. What many need to accept is that if you don't find a legitimate job with a decent fee, then don't apply. Yes, everyone needs money, but if the jobs aren't there, you have to find other sources of income.

I can say with experience, for certain, that there is no correlation to relevance / expertise and closing a job (Boosted or non). This is why so many of us refer to the process as a Casino or a rigged carnival game. You can be the most relevant and expert candidate, but odds are, the client is not going to hire or even will not revisit the posting after making the post.

To be honest, I never submitted a boosted proposal nor boosted my profile. Still, I am getting projects and invites. So I think, there are many other things that matter more important than boosting like your profile, reviews, job success score and more important on what type of job post you apply. There are many things to consider before applying to any job post.
