Asking me to test my house WiFi with internet testing link

I recently had a zoom interview through upwork and the interviewee recorded the meeting. The job is work from home fully remote as a brand ambassador, and she wanted to see the speed of my WiFi since the job is full time and work from home. I found this very suspicious and wanted to know if it's normal that employers want to know the speed of your WiFi using the internet speed testing link? Is this a scam ???

I also can relate to your concern, however, since you’re uncomfortable.
Never give your consent to it. you could respond “you don’t have my consent
and I may take it up in the court of law as an infringement of my privacy
as you didn’t indicate this in your terms and conditions”. Or simply say
“there’s no worries about the wifi affecting my job performance “

No. This client want to know that your Internet is fast enough to avoid slowdowns. It isn't suspicious.

But you can reject given link and show verified testing results, like https://speedtest.net

Use the above link.  It is perfectly OK to know your wifi speed. Just don't use their link
