Hello everyone, i need some advice. I'm traveling abroad for masters and have plans for settling there after studies. How do i change my upwork account location to my current address and payment method. Will this create any issue?

Hi Adil,

In general, if you are traveling and are away from your country of residence temporarily, you don’t need to update your location. If it does raise any flags on our end, the team will reach out to you directly. If however, you are going to be away for an extended period, such as moving someplace, then you should make updates to your account location. To change your address, please click your profile photo then go to Settings once you're logged into your account.

If i change location my account will not be banned right?

No, Adil. Your account won't be automatically suspended just because you are traveling abroad. However, as Joanne mentioned, if it does raise any flags on our end, you will be contacted by the relevant team and may be required to verify your location.
