I would really like to know if my client will be charged any fees for proposing a new contract or re-hiring. Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Yes, the contract initiation fee is per contract. If your client starts a new contract, they’ll pay the contract initiation fee even if they have worked with the freelancer before.

Thanks Arjay! What about proposing a new milestone on a fixed price project, will my client be charged the contract initiation fee for funding that milestone?

No, if you are continuing an existing contract and just adding milestones, your client will not have to pay the contract initiation fee again.
